The Regeneration

Smithfield Square is located close by to the Haringey Heartlands site which has plans for high quality residential- led scheme would provide around 1,000 new homes for the borough, business space, offices, shops, restaurants and cafes. There have also been plans for attractive new public spaces and landscaping features. The proposals would rejuvenate an important part of the borough and feature prominently in Haringey Council's regeneration goals.

Transportation

Train

Hornsey Overground Station is 300m away (approx 6 minutes' walk) with direct trains to Finsbury Park (4 minutes), Highbury & Islington (9 minutes), Old Street (14 minutes) and Moorgate (19 minutes). Direct trains to Kings Cross run at weekends and late evenings in 17 minutes. Hornsey station is located in Zone 3.

Underground

Turnpike Lane Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) is within 1km (approx. 10 minute walk). Located in zone 3, with Kings Cross 13 minutes and Piccadilly Circus approx. 20 minutes away. It is a direct line to Knightsbridge and Heathrow Airport.

Crossrail 2

The current Crossrail 2 proposal includes stations at Alexandra Palace and Turnpike Lane. This is due for planning 2017 and completion 2030. Crossrail 2 is the proposed new high-frequency, high-capacity rail line running through London and into Surrey and Hertfordshire. It will add capacity to the rail network in London and the south east, supporting economic regeneration by providing the infrastructure needed to build new homes and create more jobs.
